Laurence P. Banville is an Irish-born attorney and the Managing Partner of Banville Law, a New York personal injury firm built on a simple idea: be a bridge to recovery for people who have been hurt. He represents individuals and families who are up against insurance companies and pharmaceutical corporations, and he fights to win them the full and fair compensation they are owed.
Laurence is licensed to practice law in New York and in Washington, D.C. He is an AVVO-rated attorney and a member of the American Association for Justice, the New York State Bar Association, the Irish American Bar Association of New York, and the Brehon Law Society.
His path to the courtroom started early and far from here. Laurence grew up in Ballykerogue, County Wexford, Ireland, with a strong work ethic instilled by his family. His first real exposure to the law came from his mother's workplace-injury case — watching an ordinary family take on a company that had hurt one of their own. That experience shaped the lawyer he became and the clients he chooses to stand beside today.
He studied Business and Legal Studies at University College Dublin, graduating summa cum laude, and spent a year studying law and business in French at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. After moving to the United States, he passed the New York bar and began his career in litigation — first handling complex insurance-defense and products-liability cases. That work taught him exactly how insurance companies build their defenses, and he now uses that knowledge on the other side of the table, for the people those companies would rather ignore.
As Managing Partner of Banville Law, Laurence handles personal injury matters including car and truck accidents, catastrophic injuries, defective drugs and products, and other cases where a person's life has been turned upside down by someone else's negligence. He believes every client deserves direct attention, honest answers, and an advocate who treats them as a person — not a file number.
Outside of his law practice, Laurence is an entrepreneur who has built and sold several companies, and he advises businesses on marketing, cybersecurity, and the responsible adoption of new technology. He lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife and two children, and is a lifelong Newcastle United supporter.

A very understanding man
I had called Banville Law and spoke with Mr. Banville about an issue I had after an accident. He was very helpful and took the time to listen to my story, and offer his advise.

Very helpful and knowledgeable
I contacted Mr. Banville after my girlfriend had an accident. I was pretty angry and frustrated with what had happened and the way we were being treated, he was very calming and was able to explain our rights and what to do next. As a result we got a settlement that compensated us for the losses. ...
Thank you, it was a pleasure working with your girlfriend in resolving this matter.
"Laurence is a brilliant attorney and businessman. I have personally worked with him in multiple matters and I trust his judgment. I highly endorse him as a former co-worker and friend."
