Daniel Adam Hochheiser

From the moment I sat with Daniel Hoccheiser, I knew I was in good hands. I previously retained a another lawyer for my A2 felony as well as an E felony, my first run in with the law, but did not feel confident in his ability to defend me. Due to the fact that I have never been incarcerated befor...e, or had any contact with the legal system, I was very nervous and confused. Dan never left me with any questions and I felt confident and comfortable, as well as in the loop, for the whole process. Over the course of the pretrial Dan was very affective in communicating with the prosecutor and I, and again, never made me feel out of the loop. With an absolutely prestine memorandum of leniency, Daniel worked my offer from 3 years in prison to a diversionary program where my felonies will be thrown out, and I will be left with misdemeanors, a SMALL Sircharge, and probation; a miricale in comparison to the original direction of the case. He effectively defended my rights, and made me feel comfortable, which I feel was the most important. I was referred to contact Dan about almost 3 years into my on-going case. I knew I had to at least meet with Dan because I felt my case was hopeless. My previous lawyer wanted me to plead guilty to the charges the DA had against me. I have to admit, on the way to Dan's office for consultation, I wa...sn't expecting much hope, but end of our meeting, I knew Dan was the defense attorney that I needed. Not knowing what decisions to make and what decisions not to make, it made me feel comfortable to be guided by what recommendations Dan brought forward. For example, Dan felt we needed certain experts to support my case (private investigator, accident reconstruction, etc.) while others, after consultation, he would recommend that although they will help my case, they would not be necessary and not be cost effective to do so. I can't imagine all the time Dan put into my case, from visiting the scene of the accident (whereas my previous lawyer did not go once), from our meetings at his office to all the information he was obtaining from our experts, investigators and the amount of discovery from the DA. All of this truly did come to light when the trial started. This was when I was most nervous, yet this was when Dan was most confident. During jury selection, Dan knew what jurors he wanted to select by asking few questions he's allowed. This was truly amazing to watch. More so, was during Dan's cross-examination of DA witnesses. I probably shouldn't describe exactly what I mean but I will say he makes it look easy to adjust strategy and questioning on the fly! Believe me, after an arrest, you feel hopeless and helpless. You have no idea what to do. It is a sickening feeling. I went through this for about 3 years until I was able to hire Dan as my defense attorney. He was outstanding from day one. And to reiterate my title, Dan saved my life!

Dan Hochheiser has been my attorney for over 5 years. Every time I have needed him he has come through - with flying colors.
