My family hired Mr. Fava for the sale of the family home on recommendation of a family friend. From the beginning it was difficult to reach Mr. Fava. He changed his phone number twice between August and October but did not advise us. Once the closing date was set (September), we had to reach out t...o the buyer’s lawyer to get the address. We had some funds in escrow due to an outstanding survey, but Mr. Fava never responded to enquires on the process. After Mr. Fava was provided with the certificate of completion which was copied to the buyer and his lawyer, we had to request release of the funds twice (Mr. Fava claimed the check had been lost). In addition, we had to request the closing documentation repeatedly, finally receiving them in February, five (5) months later.
