Low Retainer - Low Effort - Minimal support

Low retainer fee + low effort. I would not recommend based on my experience, the level of support I received did not meet my expectations. I often felt I had to advocate for myself, and the attorney’s approach came across as more adversarial than supportive. His tendency to play devil’s advocate led... to frequent, unnecessary back-and-forth, which made an already challenging situation more stressful. I did not enjoy his “style” of lawyering.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Michael is truly committed to helping people in the realm of education law, particularly as it applies to those with special needs. This is a highly-specific area of the law, and to know that there is someone with the passion to pursue this area is comforting, as well as the fact that he is a member of this small-and-knowledgeable community."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
