David Simon

I am a civil litigation attorney licensed in New York State and admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  I additionally represent clients in the United States Bankruptcy Court, before FINRA, various administrative agencies and in all arbitration and mediation forums.  My clients include individuals, businesses and municipalities. Before practicing law, I was a senior analyst at Lehman Brothers.  That securities background led me to my first legal job defending a major investment bank in approximately 100 expedited arbitration cases conducted in accordance with a SEC settlement where I enjoyed one of the highest success rates among hundreds of inhouse lawyers and outside counsel.  Although 90% of my practice is concentrated in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties, I have represented clients throughout the the State of New York, from Long Island to Buffalo. Beginning in 2002, I served as the plaintiffs' Property Damage Liaison Counsel in dozens of related chemical explosion cases in New York City administered by the Litigation Coordinating Panel.  That leadership role helped secure a property damage settlement for my client in excess of $1 million. I act as General Counsel for a variety of businesses, counsel clients on employment matters, and have helped countless accident victims recover compensation for their injuries.
