David A. Resnick

David Resnick is the founding attorney of David Resnick & Associates, P.C., a New York City law firm focused exclusively on representing people injured through the negligence of others.

Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996, David has nearly three decades of legal experience. He began his career working at large law firms, where he saw that injured clients did not always receive the time, communication, and personal attention they deserved. Motivated to provide a more client-centered approach, he founded David Resnick & Associates in 1998.

What began in a small office in David’s apartment has grown into an established personal injury firm in Midtown Manhattan. Despite that growth, David remains committed to the principle on which he founded the firm: clients should be able to communicate with their attorney, understand what is happening in their case, and feel that their concerns are being heard.

David represents clients in a wide range of personal injury matters, including car, truck, motorcycle, rideshare, and pedestrian accidents. He also handles construction accidents, slip-and-fall cases, premises liability claims, dog bites, traumatic brain injuries, and wrongful death cases. The firm serves injured people and their families throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, and other New York communities.

David and his legal team have secured more than $180 million in settlements and verdicts for injured clients. Notable results include a $3.2 million construction accident award, a $2 million award for a client who suffered a fractured leg, a $1.9 million car accident settlement, and several seven-figure recoveries in slip-and-fall and premises liability cases. Every case is different, and prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

David believes that strong representation begins with communication. He responds directly to questions from current and prospective clients, keeps clients informed as their cases progress, and works to make the legal process easier to understand. When an injured client cannot travel, he is often willing to meet with the client at home.

David earned his undergraduate degree from George Washington University in 1990 and his Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1995. His professional recognition includes selection by Distinguished Justice Advocates and Leaders of Law among the Top 1 Percent of Attorneys in America. He is also an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.

As a husband and father, David understands that a serious injury affects more than one person.
