Biography
Sam is admitted to the New York State Bar, California State Bar, New Jersey State Bar, the Federal District Court of New Jersey, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to his work at BIENVENDOS, Mr. Garrett volunteered at the Los Angeles County Bar Asssociation Immigration Project. His interest in public interest law began his first year of law school through his work with the General Relief Advocacy Project. Mr. Garrett was part of the inaugral class of the Center For Juvenile Law and Policy Clinic, where under supervision, he represented juveniles charged with felonies in the Inglewood Juvenile Court House. Mr. Garrett earned a B.A. magna cum laude with Honors in History from Florida State University (2002). He is a member of Florida State's Chapter of the honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Garrett earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles (2005).
