Thomas Brennan

Thomas P. Brennan joined the firm in September 2015.  As a young, experienced and aggressive trial attorney, Mr. Brennan fights for clients who have been involved in construction accidents, those who have suffered serious personal injuries as a result of the negligence of others, and those who have been victims of medical malpractice. 

A born and bred New Yorker, Mr. Brennan was raised in Brooklyn, attended high school in Manhattan, graduated from Fordham University in the Bronx and attained his law degree from St. John’s University in Queens.  Following law school, he honed his trial skills in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney, where he was assigned to the trial division.  He prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, gaining invaluable courtroom experience.  He achieved felony convictions on cases ranging from home invasions and kidnapping to gun possession and attempted murder.  Mr. Brennan demonstrated incredible acumen for the courtroom early in his career, resulting in assignments often reserved for senior attorneys.  He finished his career in the Career Criminal and Major Crimes Bureau of the office. 

Mr. Brennan left the District Attorney’s Office in order to broaden his legal experience and expertise and to continue to employ his skills to help others.  He worked at two prestigious medical malpractice defense firms in New York as well as one of the largest insurance defense firms in the area.  Through this experience, Mr. Brennan learned the nuances of civil law as well as the thought process and evaluation of the insurance companies, invaluable knowledge he employs while fighting for his clients at Block, O’Toole & Murphy.

Mr. Brennan has also served as an adjunct professor in trial advocacy at St. John’s University School of Law where he has taught trial techniques and has coached law students at several national trial competitions.
