I have spent almost all of my legal career practicing Real Estate and Bankruptcy law. My firm handles any and all aspects of Bankruptcy law, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings.
I teach a class at Solo Practice University called "The Basics of Real Estate." I teach other attorneys how to be a Real Estate attorney.
When I am not working, I am either in the kitchen cooking or baking something or spending time with my kids. I am also an avid scrapbooker.

Excellent attorney!
I hired Stefanie Devery when I bought my first home in 2005. I then hired her again in 2009 when I sold it. During both transactions, she was helpful, supportive, professional, informative and negotiated the terms I wanted. I will continue to use her for all of my future real estate transactions.
"I know Stefanie through the legal community here in metropolitan NYC. She is a bright, talented attorney who cares tremendously for her clients. I also follow her real estate blog regularly and feel that she is extremely knowledgeable in this practice area."
"I have known Stefanie for almost one year, getting to know her first through a National ABA Sponsored List Serve and then personally. She is without a doubt a fantastic real estate attorney who has compassion for her clients. I do not hesitate to refer her to clients in the Long Island area."
"Having worked with and interacted with Stefanie at Solo Practice University, I can tell you that she knows her area of practice well. More than that, she is practical and pragmatic, two great traits in a real estate attorney. I would recommend her highly."
"Stefanie is a leader in the areas of foreclosure defense, mortgage renegotiation, short sales and related legal issues. She is highly-knowledgeable regarding her areas of practice. She is thorough, passionate and dedicated to her clients and her work. I highly recommend Stefanie if you need legal help in these areas."
"I have the pleasure of belonging to several national attorney listservs with Ms. Devery. Stefanie has shown herself to be extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to her clients. Her advice and support are an asset to the community. I enthusiastically endorse this lawyer's work."
"I endorse this lawyer's work. Stefanie is an experienced, attentive and very intelligent real estate attorney. She not only gets the job done but also cares about her clients. I would recommend Stefanie to anyone looking for an attorney to help with them with their real estate, loan modification and bankruptcy needs."
"I've known Ms Devery for some time because of our participation in various legal networks. She has shown herself to be very knowledgeable and is who I would hire if I was in need of a residential attorney."
