Matthew is experienced, sophisticated, whip-smart and someone you want in your corner when confronted with a significant, complex issue. He has led us through several highly challenging situations and achieved only positive results. He is forceful when he needs to be and passionate about getting th...e right outcome for his clients, but he is also an excellent negotiator. Matthew has keen judgment and is also very much about the client and not about conflicts or "relationship management" like many big firm lawyers. The firm produces exceptional work product. My experience with him has been that he is inclusive of all parties when working within a business.

Matthew is a forceful advocate in court; this same strength of personality can manifest in less than ideal ways when he is working with clients. He often seeks to work directly with senior principals, and will often seek to work around in-house counsel and other lawyers involved in a matter. He man...ages upwards quite effectively and is very responsive to senior management, but this comes at a cost in terms of his effectiveness and cooperation with employees outside of senior management. For smaller clients, he may be an acceptable lawyer, but his effectiveness wanes in larger organizations.
