EXTREMELY FAIR, TALENTED AND EFFECTIVE
Hiring a New York attorney can be a nerve wracking process. If you are like me, you first have to endlessly interview attorneys to find one that is even willing to undertake your matter if its not worth millions. Then, after you finally find the willing few, you select the one you are most comfortable with and hope for the best. Fortunately for me, this time around, I came across Mary Madeline Roberts. Right off the bat, I had a great feeling with her. She was extremely knowledgeable and versed in contractual matters and guided me every step of the way through the entire process. She raised extremely important issues that I would never have considered had I proceeded by myself and has already saved me more time and money than I can relate. Also, she was very generous with her time and spent a lot of time with me upfront getting to know me and learn about my needs before I even retained her. Most of all, she never nickle and dimmed me, charging me for every little thing along the way in order to pump up my fees. This is a rarity that I really really appreciated about her and unheard of in New York in my experience. There are so many firms out there that really take advantage of the little guy and I can tell you the Ms. Roberts is NOT one of them..... I highly recommend Ms Roberts to anyone with a contract dispute or who needs a great attorney who is highly competent, effective , gives you a great over all feeling and who treats you very fairly at the end of the day. I promise you you will NOT regret this decision. THANKS AGAIN MARY!!!!!!

Mary helped me in a business matter and went above and beyond in helping me in a way that effectively dealt with the issues and didn't bankrupt me in the process. Best lawyer!
I had a problem with a contractor working on my townhouse - Madaline was precise and on the ball! She was able to work out all the issues I was having and keep my project on schedule - she was even able to contact me with a new contractor. Very professional and efficient. I would recommend her highly.

Wonderful Experience, Ms. Roberts
I first worked with Ms. Roberts in the fall of 2015 when I needed some legal guidance and contracts written for my production company. She adeptly and quickly drafted these contracts with aplomb and was always available to speak to me to address my concerns and engaged in helping me accomplish my goals. Her work was exemplary even though the breadth and scope of the topics was wide. I would not hesitate to use her services, nor could I recommend others more highly to employ her services.

Flaky, manipulative and fakes compassion for potential clients
Consulted with 3 lawyers, Mary immediately comes off as caring and pays attention to every little detail and to gain your trust during consultation. After that, unless you throw your money at her she will string you along. She advertises up front pricing, sometimes flat rate services and when I requested that, she kept avoiding the topic. Finally when she gave me an idea of some costs I asked to take the weekend to think about it. I tried contacting her on Monday and she would not get back to me till the following week and seemed to have almost no idea of what we had previously discussed and then quoted me prices that were at least double. When I called her on it she said, yea just send me an email agreeing to retain me and I'll work with that. These communications were all done via email or text. I kept asking for a phone call because she would take days to respond. Finally she calls me and says she doesn't want to work with me because I'm being difficult and was speaking badly about her. I'm sorry asking for pricing and setting expectations is considered difficult (especially since you advertise it as one of your best attributes) and as far as speaking badly about you, well that would be this review which you deserve (which is the only time I've ever spoken about you). You strung me along for weeks (which is my own fault for trusting you) and now my finances will pay the price because I could have represented myself right away and been in better shape than where you left me.
