Misunderstood a simple post in English and no help at all.

Would give a -100 but this doesn't allow that. I wrote a post in simple English and he was loud and WRONG about my post. He put words in my mouth and in my opinion I would RUN if he was ever my lawyer or advocate with his blah blah blah about degrees but loud and wrong when understanding a post in p...lain English. BEWARE!! And as it was stated it's free advice ...... smh we don't count for nothing I guess.

Not helpful and condescending.

The funding and creation of covid is by no means "fringe theory" and is based on growing scientific evidence. I'm also truly sorry you lack any courage or conviction in pursuing the truth or helping the true victims caught up in the largest mass disabling in modern history. Terming their ordeals,... trauma and what bought about their suffering as "fringe theory" is damaging, dishonest and highly inaccurate. I'm also sorry that science (or basic history even) don't seem like your stronger points, by terming the largest industrial accident in our history as "conspiracy theory" or "fringe theory" this becomes a real stain on science / the legal system and is actually rather saddening. You also discredit the millions who lost their lives globally and the millions who now live like me disabled with PACS or "long covid." When SARS 1 leaked from lab accidents in Beijing, Taipei and Singapore it wasn't taboo or your uneducated "fringe theory." It's a sad reality. It is basic history and accidents routinely happen in science and lab based environments. Same as as Brucellosis in 2019 when a lab used the wrong disinfectant in Langzou and thousands became infected. Or let me guess.....That was also "fringe conspiracy theory" in your mind? I hope you take the time to actually research and educate yourself on basic history before terming lab based accidents and the creation of chimera viruses "fringe conspiracy" or "fringe theory." A simple "we can't help you ..... Because" would have sufficed. I will leave this comment here and history will be the judge of it. For the millions of long haulers and millions who didn't make it to witness what happens next.

I am genuinely sympathetic to your long Covid and disability. Frankly advising you that the legal system is not oriented to your complaints does not make me ignorant of medicine, science, or history. I am one of the few board-certified malpractice attorneys in NY, and a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine, past Co-Chair of the Med. Mal. section of the American Association of Justice, and former Court TV commentator on medical malpractice. I am satisfied that I have the background and credentials to opine knowledgeably about your post. To pursue your case in court, you will need qualified credentialed medical experts (board-certified in epidemiology, infectious disease, etc.) to put their hand on a Bible and swear to the truth of their testimony. I promise you the opposing side will have immense expert support. You cannot prove your case by bringing in a stack of internet articles, emails, or YouTube videos that support you. To date, there has not been a single case nationwide where that has happened in support of your theories. I do not believe that the conventional medical wisdom is that Covid was caused by vaccines, although there are millions of non-MD's who believe that, so that the required qualified expert testimony is not available. It is possible that you could be the trailblazer, but that is not likely. I have never made a penny telling a potential client "Go away, I cannot help you." I only make money by taking cases, not rejecting them. But I don't make money taking a case that I will lose. I would help you if I could, but I cannot get the expert support your claims need, and neither can my colleagues. Giving you my legal advice freely is a service, and that you disagree with it and reject it is not a fair basis of a bad review. If you can get good experienced counsel to take your case, I am genuinely happy for you, and I hope you can prove me wrong. But if you cannot, it would be appreciated if you reconsidered your bad review and took it down. Good luck!

Information useful; but very complicated case.

Mr. Bower did give me information that is helpful; although given how complicated the case is, his best advice was to get a lawyer who was well versed in medical diagnosis / treatment cases. He also answered the question in regards to statute of limitations. The major question with my son's case ...is what should a reasonable neurologist have known in regards to ensuring treatment that would not give rise to further harm. But for one who "should have known better" and gave bad medical advise? Well, that's another question. Thank you for the information you were able to provide though.

Helpful and Detailed

In an unexpected situation we were unsure how to go about a solution and if we should start looking for an attorney. Mr. Bower gave a very detailed answer that saw us to a solution quickly and how to proceed from there if it hadn't (likely not an attorney). Great guidance in a situation that was frus...trating for all of us closely involved.

"I endorse this lawyer. Mark and I worked at the same high profile firm in the '90's. Even then, Mark enjoyed a reputation as one of the very best medical malpractice practitioners in the State of New York. Since then Mark has only succeeded in enhancing and burnishing his reputation, as well as taking it to other jurisdictions. Mark is respectfully known as "the Professor" by many of his colleagues owing to his encyclopedic knowledge of his areas of concentration. If you have a medical malpractice case, I can think of no better lawyer to consult than Mark Bower."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
