Chase Scott Ruddy

Associate Attorney at Edward V. Sapone, LLC, admitted to the bars of the states of New York and New Jersey. I am also admitted to practice before the federal district courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree Magna Cum Laude from Boston College, with degrees in English Literature and Faith, Peace and Justice, and my Juris Doctor Degree with honors from the George Washington University School of Law, where I was a member of the International Law Review, Mock Trial Board, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. I also served as a teaching assistant for first year civil procedure students and attended the George Washington University -- Oxford University Program in International Human Rights Law at New College, Oxford, UK.

I contribute predominantly to the firm's motion practice, and have prepared winning motions at all stages of trial proceedings in state and federal court, as well as at the appellate level before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. I also assist in case development and witness preparation for hearings and trial.

I have appeared for the firm on cases before the criminal, civil, and family courts of the state of New York, as well as the federal district courts for the SDNY, EDNY, DConn, DRI, and DNJ.
