Emine Sahin Karakaslioglu

I am the founding attorney of Karakaslioglu Law Firm PLLC, an immigration, business, and intellectual property law firm headquartered in Manhattan, New York, with a representative office in Istanbul. Our practice focuses on providing comprehensive legal guidance to entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, and families navigating the U.S. immigration and business landscape.

Our firm advises clients on a wide range of immigration and corporate matters, including E-2 Treaty Investor visas, E-1 Treaty Trader visas, L-1A intracompany transferee visas, EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program cases, and employment-based immigrant petitions such as EB-1 and EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW). We also handle family-based immigration petitions, adjustment of status applications, naturalization, and green card renewals. In addition, our practice includes U.S. company formation, corporate restructuring, investment compliance, commercial contracts, and trademark research and registration.

I am qualified in both the Turkish and U.S. legal systems and have been a member of the Istanbul Bar Association for over fifteen years. I began my legal career in Turkey focusing on commercial and corporate law before transitioning my practice in 2017 to U.S. immigration and investment law. My own successful E-2 investor visa journey, which enabled my relocation to the United States, provides me with a unique, practical understanding of the challenges faced by foreign entrepreneurs and investors.

I take a strategic and holistic approach to immigration matters, integrating legal analysis with business planning to help clients build sustainable and compliant pathways to the United States. I am an active member of the New York City Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and I regularly engage in professional discussions related to immigration policy and cross-border legal issues.
