also known as Ian Millican
Ian S. Millican joined the Pharmaceutical Liability Practice Group of the Lanier Law Firm's New York City office in 2014. He has tremendous expertise in representing individuals who have been injured by dangerous drugs and medical devices. Before joining the Lanier Law Firm, Ian was an associate at a boutique litigation firm in New York City, where he focused on product liability and mass tort matters, and conducted numerous depositions as lead counsel on behalf of Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States and internationally.
Ian graduated from Cornell University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After working at an international law firm, Ian attended Fordham University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2010. In law school, Ian was a Notes & Articles Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal, he was a member of the Dean's List, and he was a recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award for pro bono and community work.
After law school, Ian clerked for Hon. Carol E. Higbee (now, of the Appellate Division), and he assisted Judge Higbee with several high-profile pharmaceutical and medical device matters. During Ian's clerkship, Judge Higbee was one of three designated mass tort judges in the State of New Jersey, which gave him the privilege of being able to observe and participate in mass torts involving some of the nation's best trial lawyers.
Ian is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
