I have been actively engaged in the practice of law since 1995, specializing in landlord-tenant law, and other types of real-estate litigation, including summary proceedings, administrative matters (relating to rent overcharge and regulatory coverage of New York City buildings), brokerage disputes, "Yellowstone" injunctions, foreclosure actions, and bankruptcy proceedings. As a result of this wide range of activities, I regularly appear before all state and federal courts and administrative agencies such as the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR), the New York City Department of Buildings, and the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).
My clients include Co-op and Condo boards, owners of residential, commercial and mixed use buildings, individual tenants (residential and commercial), cooperative shareholders and condominium unit owners.
I have litigated complex matters in Housing Court and Supreme Court, and have argued numerous successful appeals before the Appellate Term and Appellate Division.
I have also successfully prosecuted and defended rent overcharge cases before the DHCR, and have negotiated numerous tenant buyouts exceeding $1,000,.
I was a contributing author of Finkelstein, Ferrara, and Treiman’s Landlord-Tenant Monthly, a monthly newsletter for landlord-tenant practitioners, and have been quoted in numerous publications, including the New York Law Journal, Habitat and the Cooperator.

It Took 4 Lawyers Before I Found Andrew Wagner
After dealing with 3 other lawyers who were either not competent or never expected to win my case for succession rights to my mother's rent-controlled apartment, Mr. Wagner was my salvation. He is low key, systematic, tenacious and he won my case. What more can one say?
