My parents hired this law firm many years ago to prepare their wills,taxes,powers of attorneys, health care proxies and trusts. Each of the forms was prepared perfectly and preserved their estate from inheritance and other taxes. As my parents got older, the lawyers at Lissner and Lissner would ma...ke house, nursing home and hospital visits. As I was present at many of these meetings I saw how attentive Michael, Barbara Lissner and their college agues were. They asked my parents what they wanted and never became impatient explaining things over and over again. It is clear that this firm has a great deal of experience in the field of elder law. Not only do they seem to know the law but they know their clientele as well. My husband and I have retained this firm for our growing family. They have given us great advice from college planning for our infant children to setting up trusts to making annual tax free gifts. We are happy with the attentive service and the very fair rates. Sometimes you get more then what you pay for, this is one of those times.

Michael Lissner is an attorney who specializes in estate and elder law issues. He and his wife Barbara have represented by family for many years. Barbara and Michael and their team of lawyers and paralegals are terrific lawyers. They not only know the law they teach others the law. They go out of ...their way to provide personal attention and visited with my parents at their home, in the nursing home, hospital and hospice. Michael explained to my sister, my parents and me each option that we had. They were a full service law firm and prepared wills, health care proxies, powers of attorney and trust and estate planning papers that accomplished my parents goals. After my parents passed away they helped arrange funeral services and gave us a shoulder to cry upon. They did everything from ordering death certificates to preparing and filing papers in Court. The papers were no flawlessly prepared that the Court approved them without any changes. Michael, Barbara and their highly trained lawyers and paralegals were a source of comfort in our times of need. They were incredibly responsive, even late at night and on weekends. When you call their office a cell number is provided so you can reach them directly. The amount they charged was very reasonable. Often times they would not even charge for their advice. I do not think you can find better Estate lawyers in the New York area.

Mr. Lissner's firm preapared a Power of Attorney giving one of 3 daughters sole guardianship of their Mom who is an Alzheimers sufferer, based on the lies he was told by that 1 daughter. Both of the other daughters tried numerous times to speak with him and he never would return the phone calls or w...as extremely rude when spoken to. Mom, who has severe dementia did not understand the documents she initialled. She would have signed any document put in front of her. And Mr. Lissner never even met my mother and went ahead anyway preparing this document which is clearly illegal. There were doctors reports previously completed stating our Mom is cognitively impaired. He created a horror for my poor mother and other daughters who are now under the throes of the one sister who has a vengence against the other 2 daughters. And to correct this horrible injustice to my Mom will now cost the other 2 daughters thousands of dollars in legal fees which they don't have. Mr. Lissner was quick to take my Mom's money-thousands and thousands of dollars claiming he wants to protect Holocaust survivors.
