Andy Cherkasky is an incredible attorney! If Andy or his team have the availability to take your case, you’d be a fool not to go with them. If you’re being charged with sexual assault/harassment etc., I want you to know you are not going into a fair fight. I cannot stress this enough, the system is ...built to put innocent people away, and without the best, it will. Andy is the best. The politicians have rigged the system against you and you were convicted in their minds the second someone complained. If I didn’t have Andy as an attorney, I truly think the Air Force would’ve succeeded in framing me. Andy handled a falsified and fabricated sexual assault allegation against me and I was amazed. Watching Andy work, albeit from an uncomfortably close seat to the action, was a true master class in trial litigation. As a Maj in the Air Force, I was very familiar about the shady things that JAG/OSI pull, but however bad you think they are, I promise you, they are worse. You probably hear things like “no one is out to get you” or “they’re just doing their jobs” I’m here to tell you they are out to get you! If you have even the smallest allegation levied against you, the AF will take the case all the way; your career will be ruined before you have the first iota of due process. They do not care, at all, about their people and will bend or break regulations and laws to try and screw you. These politically incensed cases like sexual assault/harassment etc. will have the JAG pull out every stop against you no matter how ludicrous or how much exculpatory evidence there is. Andy was able handle every bit of the mountains of BS and low blows the AF handed out. My case took over 3 years to finally get to court due to the Air Force delaying. It started as a GCM and was moved to a BOI. Don’t let the lesser punishments in a BOI deceive you. A BOI has pretty much zero rules and there is no accountability for the “Judge” so they will pull as many sleezy tricks as they can to throw you under the bus. I personally witnessed OSI make statements they were instructed to not, opposing council ask questions they had been explicitly directed not to ask, testify to the jury on evidence not turned over to defense council (this is like Law 101) just to mention a few. These JAG attorneys know better, but they also know there are no consequences for their actions in a BOI. It truly breaks my heart that the military displays this abhorrent behavior that flies in the face of our core values. The fact that HAF allows this to go on is slap in the face to every airman who has ever served. If you haven’t seen Andy and their team on TV, they are fighting this kind of politically influenced behavior from every angle they can. Andy worked tirelessly on my case for 3 years and even helped me with security clearance issues when the AF tried to halt my career in that manner. Throughout that entire process it was always easy to get ahold of Andy for any issue, of which there were many. My words certainly aren’t sufficient or eloquent enough to describe how grateful I am to have had Andy take my case. He is truly fantastic, and it was a pleasure and an honor working with him.

Andrew was hired to represent my son who had been charged with sexual assault. The case never went to trial and my son was given a general discharge for misconduct. My son was a model sailor starting in basic training where he was recognized for his leadership skills. After graduation, prior to A ...school he worked hard to excel and was recognized by his shipmates and commanding office for leadership and exemplary performance. After A school he was awarded sailor of the quarter which identified him as a role model, especially when circumstances demand greater than normal responsibilities. He expeditiously completed all required qualifications, examinations and A school. He was promoted to E4 and never quit working to do the best job he could, even after charges were filed against him. My son was proud to be in the Coast Guard and was working to build a strong foundation for his future and was planning to attend higher education on the GI bill. I believe that In an effort to satisfy metrics in the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program (SAPR) to congress, the USCG needed to successfully prosecute and did not feel that they could after the pretrial hearing with Andrew Cherkasky so they decided they would just discharge my son for misconduct. This has violated my sons constitutional right invoked by the 5th amendment which is intended to insure due process. The general discharge ended my sons career in the USCG and eliminated all benefits offered by the GI bill. Andrew Cherkasky is working to appeal this injustice, I will write further to his success when concluded.

Our son was represented by the Cherkasky Law Firm (Andy and Katie Cherkasky). I was involved from the moment we retained their firm and I want to tell you they did a fabulous job. From the start, they kept us in the loop on everything. They were completely prepared for trial and also had a backup def...ense if they needed to move in a different direction. They left nothing to chance. Andy Cherkasky is flawless in the court room. He had complete control of the case from the beginning of the court martial. His preparation is incredible. His cross examination of witnesses was a lesson for all attorneys. There were many young government attorneys in the courtroom watching throughout the trial and they got quite an education. He revealed many inaccuracies and out right lies in the accuser and government witnesses testimony, while at all times being respectful. Prior to this court martial, I truly felt you couldn't get a fair trial in the military because the cards are stacked against you. My son was found not guilty on all counts and I am 100% convinced it was because of the excellent defense provided by Andy Cherkasky with assistance from two excellent military attorneys that have asked to remain anonymous. Military attorneys are typically either inexperienced, or so overloaded with cases they truly don't have the time to focus on your case. I cannot not say enough good things about the representation my son received from the Cherkasky Law Firm. After being through this I believe in my heart it really doesn't matter if you are innocent or guilty in the military, it really matters how good your attorney is. I was shocked at the things the government did, and the mis-information they provided to get a guilty verdict. I would have never believed it, had we not gone through it. As a result of the Cherkasky Law Firm excellent preparation, having expert and character witnesses participate in the court martial and Andy's tremendous courtroom work, we got a great result. A guilty verdict would have put our son in the brig for many years and ruined his reputation. He is a college graduate and a conviction would have destroyed his career and his life. If you are charged with a crime in the military or if your child is charged with a crime in the military, do whatever you need to do to retain the Cherkasky Law Firm. It is money well spent.
