. EXCELLENT ATTORNEY ON A VERY DIFFICULT CASE

WE HAVE BEEN IN LITIGATION WITH MR. STERN FOR NEARLY 3 YEARS ON A VERY DIFFICULT CASE. WE ARE BATTLING 3 CORPORATIONS, ALONG WITH DEFENSE ATTORNEYS THAT ARE EXTREMELY FEROCIOUS. MR. STERN HAS BEEN AMAZING THROUGH IT ALL. HE IS ALWAYS REACHABLE AND HAS ALWAYS RESPONDED TO OUR COUNTLESS EMAILS QUICKLY.... IF THE EMAIL EMBODIES TOO MUCH CONTENT, HE WILL CALL INSTEAD. MR. STERN WORKS VERY HARD AND DOES EVERYTHING HIMSELF. HE ONLY HAS A SECRETARY. MR. STERN IS OUT OF THE OFFICE FROM TIME TO TIME TO FILE PAPERS, ARGUE A MOTION OR ATTEND TRIAL AT THE COURTHOUSE, WHICH IS JUST A FEW BLOCKS FROM HIS OFFICE, SO HE IS NEVER AWAY FOR TOO LONG. HE ALWAYS KEEPS US WELL INFORMED BY MAIL, PHONE, EMAIL AND FORWARDING DOCUMENTS ELECTRONICALLY. TYPICALLY LITIGATION CAN LAST 5 YEARS OR MORE. THE PROCESS OF LAW IS VERY SLOW WITH MANY DELAYS. MR. STERN IS STRONG AND SMART. HE SINCERELY CARES ABOUT HIS CLIENTS AND ENJOYS HELPING PEOPLE. HE ALWAYS LISTENS CAREFULLY AND TAKES VERY SERIOUSLY ANY CONCERN OR SUGGESTION THAT A CLIENT HAS. LITIGATION IS A TEAM EFFORT BETWEEN CLIENT AND ATTORNEY AND MR. STERN IS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH. IN OUR CASE, MR. STERN HAS THUS FAR SUCCESSFULLY BATTLED TWO OF THE MOST TENACIOUS DEFENSE ATTORNEYS ON RECORD, FROM TWO OF THE BIGGEST LAW FIRMS IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. TEN MONTHS AGO, THEY TRIED TO HAVE OUR CASE DISMISSED ON THE GROUNDS OF NO MERIT, WHICH WOULD HAVE COST US TO LOSE EVERYTHING, BUT MR. STERN WON THE DAY. THE JUDGE RULED AGAINST THE DEFENSE ON ALL COUNTS. IN PREPARATION TO FIGHT THE MOTION, MR. STERN CONSTRUCTED A LEGAL BRIEF THAT WAS A 22 PAGE THOROUGH BODY OF WORK. MR. STERN HAS ALSO RECEIVED A 5 OUT OF 5 RATING FROM MARTINDALE-HUBBELL. OUR CASE IS FAR FROM OVER, BUT WE FEEL CONFIDENT AND STRONG WITH MR. STERN ON OUR SIDE. WE WILL UPDATE THIS POSTING AS OUR CASE PROGRESSES.

Worst Real Estate lawyer EVER

He is hard to reach, always out of the office, slow to respond to emails, and was the cause of multiple delays on our closing (due to his "busy schedule"...). On top of that, he has assistants doing most of the work for him anyway. Stay away!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
