Paul Joseph Kilminster

Paul Kilminster focuses his practice on workers’ compensation. His experience includes a wide variety of cases involving accidental injuries and occupational diseases, such as occupational hearing loss and carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive stress injuries, World Trade Center claims, heart attack cases, and claims for asbestos-related injuries and death benefits. Many of the cases that Paul has handled arose out of motor vehicle and construction site accidents. Paul is experienced with all stages of workers’ compensation litigation, including trials requiring claimant and lay witness testimony as well as depositions of treating and consulting physicians, along with drafting, editing, and filing both appeals and rebuttals to the Workers’ Compensation Appellate Review Board. Additionally, Paul has authored articles for client publications pertaining to the shift in entitlements effectuated by the enactment of the 2010 Medical Treatment Guidelines for injured workers.

In law school, Paul was a decorated member of the Moot Court team and was awarded first-place honors at the 2007 City University of New York School of Law Summer Moot Court competition, where he argued on behalf of both the state and the defendant regarding a Fourth Amendment search and seizure issue. From 2007 to 2008, Paul served as President of the Irish Law Students Association. During his tenure as President, the association successfully raised enough funding to award four fellowships to law students participating in unpaid internships with organizations dedicated to the defense of human rights.
