Biography
The Law Office of Nancy Ahern is dedicated to the practice of matrimonial, family and guardianship law in New York City. Admitted to the bar in 2010, Nancy has extensive experience litigating in New York Supreme Court, Family Court, and Criminal Court, and has successfully argued before the Appellate Division First Judicial Department.
Before starting her practice, she was an attorney at a matrimonial law firm in Manhattan, where she gained invaluable experience working on sophisticated and complex matters. Prior to that, she sharpened her skills working as a litigator in general practice and spent three formative years as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx D.A.’s Office prosecuting misdemeanor and felony crimes in the Domestic Violence, Grand Jury and Narcotics bureaus.
Nancy earned her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Michigan (B.A., December 2004) and her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (J.D., June 2009). While in law school, she was selected by a faculty committee for Cardozo’s Public Interest Fellowship, which she completed at the Safe Horizon Domestic Violence Law Project.
She is licensed to practice in the State Courts of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
