Kenneth J. Anand

Employment Law.  In Kenneth’s employment practice, he regularly defends federal and state court actions in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and class action suits, EPLI, wage/hour and related employment litigation.  He also handles administrative proceedings, mediations and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures before the EEOC, NYSDHR, OSHA and other federal and state government agencies.  In addition to employment litigation, Kenneth regularly advises employers and select executive employees on the design, implementation and application of corporate practices, employment agreements, restrictive covenants and other policies, handbooks and sensitivity programs, as well as issues arising from employee terminations.

Intellectual Property/Entertainment Law.  Kenneth also helps established businesses, entrepreneurs and creative individuals seeking to develop, protect and defend their intellectual properties.  Kenneth advises clients on domestic and international trademark issues, copyright and other IP/entertainment contractual matters.  Kenneth's interest and passion for intellectual property and creation originates from his background in music composition and production.  As someone with creative endeavors of his own, Kenneth is sensitive to the concerns facing artistic businesses and creative individuals.  He co-wrote a screenplay, is an owner of a song library which licenses music for film, television, radio and other media, and has produced and licensed music for two network television shows and an independent film.

Experience.  Kenneth has practiced law for over 13 years, representing a diverse array of companies both large and small.  Kenneth not only understands businesses from a legal perspective, but also from a practical one, as he ran his own law firm, Anand Law P.C., for over four years.  Prior to that, Kenneth practiced law in the New York office of Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., one of the most well-recognized management-side labor and employment law boutique firms in the country.
