Just like others who left comments in this web, I had a deeply disappointing experience with Kelly McCollum. The first few phone consultations went fine and I was hopeful. She asked me to send my records for review, which I did. She then asked me to pay for additional hours to review the materials. I... paid — and after that, she went completely silent. I followed up repeatedly: over the next week, then over the following months, then for more than a year. Every time she either went compeltely silent or gave excuses for her silence, but the work I paid for was never done. After this happened, I read through other reviews here and realized my experience wasn't isolated. Several others describe the same thing — being ignored after paying — which suggests a pattern rather than a one-off. If you're considering hiring her, please be cautious. I came to her during a very stressful time and trusted her to help me. Instead I lost both my money and a great deal of time. Based on my experience, I advise you to go elsewhere.

On a recorded call, she admitted that her personal issues, including her divorce and inability to care for her children, were interfering with her ability to practice. While I sympathize with personal struggles, they do not excuse abandoning a client’s matter or refusing to return unearned fees. Do not hire this attorney. After I hired her I never received any advice on how to handle my situation. We spoke briefly about possible choices and possible outcomes, but she asked to be sent records to review so she could actually give real advice. I sent them. We scheduled a time to speak, which s...he then asked to delay. At the rescheduled time she was unreachable. Then tried dozens of times over 12 weeks to get in contact with her. She scheduled another time to speak and was again unreachable at that time. She still thinks she deserves to be paid for never giving advice on a time sensitive matter. DO NOT HIRE HER!
