Sue Bender fired me for not wanting to go to court (nothing was being contested but my ex-husband’s claim to money given to our daughter by my father), and let the judge settled the matter instantly in chambers- the money was never his. She didn’t show up on more than one occasion and her assistant ...was hopeless because she was dealing w her own divorce. I hired Steve Silpe who was actually brilliant and settled my case in fifteen minutes. When I appeared w Steve Silpe, the judge Joan Lobis comment was “finally you have representation.” Maybe she has improved, but approximately 20 years ago she was irresponsible and self serving. I am writing this today because somebody brought her name up and so I went to her reviews.
