Khari Peter Prescod

After three previous attorneys and two years into my divorce proceeding without any light on sight, a friend recommended to call Mr. Khari Peter Prescod who currently represents me. The best call I have made! Mr. Prescod has assisted me during one of the hardest times in my life. He set my worri...es at ease, allowing me to concentrate on the emotions of an ending marriage. He always took my calls, gave good advice, worked with my schedule, and did his work briskly and efficiently with a human touch. At time of crisis, he came through in meeting deadlines. He is a very knowledgeable and trustworthy attorney who genuinely cares about his clients. I like and appreciate what I have found to be his most important quality which not many lawyers possess, namely honesty. It is impressive how he assesses both the advantages and risks of his clients' positions and counsels them on the best course of action. As a Divorce Lawyer, I find Mr. Prescod to be one of the friendliest, empathetic, trusting lawyers I have met. He respond quickly to my questions and concerns with a clear understanding, speaking to me and not at me, letting me know that I am the most important person with all due respect. Mr. Prescod has demonstrated his professional legal abilities which has insured me throughout my time spent with him that I made the wright choice selecting him as my divorce lawyer. Mr. Prescod is extremely professional and caring. I feel he is a strong advocate for my needs in this matter and highly ethical and conscientious. I would highly recommend him to anyone going through something as traumatic as a divorce. He is truly an attorney who cares for his client’s needs both legally and emotionally.

Not to long ago I posted a review for an attorney that I hired from Avvo's website. I retained Mr. Khari Prescod for a custody case that was later withdrawn by the petitioner. At first, I wrote a glowing review because I still need Mr. Prescod's advice despite the fact he made several mistakes duri...ng my case such as: 1) Forgetting to notify my child's court appointed attorney about an up coming court appearance 2) Mailing a request for appearance to the petitioner by traditional mail instead of having them served or sending it by registered mail to ensure the petitioner received it. 3) On the day of my court appearance I went to use the restroom and when I returned, Mr. Prescod had been called into the referee's chambers and didn't bother to wait for me ( I believe this was most crucial because if I had been in the referee's chambers, I truly believe the visitation situation that I originally hired Mr. Prescod for would have been resolved). Granted, Mr. Prescod did not charge me for that court appearance or the up coming appearance because of his mistakes, which I appreciated. However, these mistakes were made. I retained Mr. Prescod's services for $2700 and the majority of the retainer went towards phone calls between Mr. Prescod and I in regards to strategies to use to allow he and the child's law guardian to speak ( I had a very hostile referee who was clearly biased). After the case was dismissed, I had spoken to Mr Prescod about receiving documentation of the case and the temporary visitation order being dismissed. However, because of the lack of communication on Mr. Prescod's behalf, and he not making an effort to get the needed document until a month later( the case was dismissed on 09/14/17 and I didn't receive the document until 10/17/17) I do feel its only fair that potential customers know about my experience with Mr. Prescod.
