Khari Peter Prescod

My now ex-wife file for spousal and child support in family court. She was asking for a ridiculous amount of money and the court granted her this temporary order. I had previously spoken to 2 other lawyers who wanted one of my arms and my first born. I continued looking and came across Khari who ass...ured me he would help me out. Khari fought for me in court, several times magistrate Elisabeth A. Bloom yelled at him and he did not let up. My ex wife's 3rd rate lawyer looked like a 1st grader next to Khari who was on point with everything this lawyer threw at him. In the end Khari was able to reduce my ex-wife's extortion by $900 a month. I'm really happy with Khari, I decided to write this review because I believe you can't find a better person who will fight as hard . Khari even joked and made me laugh while sitting in court waiting to be called. To be honest I was worried and he helped to take the anxiety away. I told him that I thought he should be a comedian, he's funny. On serious note I never want to be in this position again but if I need to go back to court I have Khari on speed dial on my phone. His rates were reasonable, always on time in fact he was in court before I was. This guy is really good. He's been in the business I believe close to 20 years. I really recommend his services my case was exceptional and not an easy case. there were several factors that made it more difficult then the average case and Khari helped me in a big way. give this guys a call if you need a real profesional you will not regret it. I retained Mr. Prescod to deal with a long festering visitation and custody situation with my ex-husband. Mr. Prescod was always honest in his assessments and gave sound advice. I would highly recommend Mr. Prescod’s firm. The case took much shorter to resolve because of Mr. Prescod’s management. ...He did not spend time making long process arguments and knew how to focus in on the most critical issues. In the end, all issues were resolved to my satisfaction. For context, I had hired a large, expensive firm in the past to deal with these issues and never got any resolution, only court room maneuvering that ended up making the situation worse - and costing a fortune. I truly appreciated Mr. Prescod’s honest and thoughtful approach. He always kept in mind the result I was seeking at the front of everything he did.

Soon after meeting Mr. Prescod at the bar association, his consultation was enough for me to hire him as an attorney who had the full knowledge, experience and expertise to help me with my case with a reasonable fee. I had inherited land that had been in my family for 100 years that had accumulated $...350,000 in taxes and as a result the property was up for foreclosure. This complicated case had been going on for 15 years, but after rigorous devotion to the case, Mr. Prescod managed to stop the foreclosure in a matter of months. I was then able to detain an excellent tax attorney who managed to reduce the taxes to $2500. Without Mr. Prescod's intervention I wouldn't have been able to become a land owner. Mr. Prescod is professional, he always made me a priority but more importantly, he is professional enough to get the job done.

Not to long ago I posted a review for an attorney that I hired from Avvo's website. I retained Mr. Khari Prescod for a custody case that was later withdrawn by the petitioner. At first, I wrote a glowing review because I still need Mr. Prescod's advice despite the fact he made several mistakes duri...ng my case such as: 1) Forgetting to notify my child's court appointed attorney about an up coming court appearance 2) Mailing a request for appearance to the petitioner by traditional mail instead of having them served or sending it by registered mail to ensure the petitioner received it. 3) On the day of my court appearance I went to use the restroom and when I returned, Mr. Prescod had been called into the referee's chambers and didn't bother to wait for me ( I believe this was most crucial because if I had been in the referee's chambers, I truly believe the visitation situation that I originally hired Mr. Prescod for would have been resolved). Granted, Mr. Prescod did not charge me for that court appearance or the up coming appearance because of his mistakes, which I appreciated. However, these mistakes were made. I retained Mr. Prescod's services for $2700 and the majority of the retainer went towards phone calls between Mr. Prescod and I in regards to strategies to use to allow he and the child's law guardian to speak ( I had a very hostile referee who was clearly biased). After the case was dismissed, I had spoken to Mr Prescod about receiving documentation of the case and the temporary visitation order being dismissed. However, because of the lack of communication on Mr. Prescod's behalf, and he not making an effort to get the needed document until a month later( the case was dismissed on 09/14/17 and I didn't receive the document until 10/17/17) I do feel its only fair that potential customers know about my experience with Mr. Prescod.
