James Kousouros

We were referred to James by a friend who is a former prosecutor. Our case was extremely complex and involved several areas of the legal system, but this did not deter James. He was able to skillfully manage all of the different court systems and deal with several different attorneys, all while tackl...ing the main aspect of this case. He and his team of investigators, experts and associates meticulously dug through thousands of pages of evidence and were able to uncover a ton of evidence that ultimately led to 2 of the major charges being dropped. My son and his friend both 21 years of age were arrested in Manhattan, New York in July 2015 and charged with a class C felony. The two boys could not recollect any of the events on the night that they were arrested as both were intoxicated. I received a call to my home in Dublin, Ireland to say... that both had been arrested and were been held in the Manhattan detention centre. Neither myself or my wife had any knowledge as to how the legal system operated even in Ireland as neither my son or his friend had ever been in trouble of any kind before. We were in a state of shock and had no idea how to proceed. We were advised by the Irish Consulate in New York to hire a very good lawyer as the situation was very serious. The relief that both myself and my family felt at that time I honestly cannot describe. The boys had learnt valuable lesson and thank god they still had the rest of their lives to live. When I first spoke to James Kousouros on that traumatic Saturday night in July he said something that will live with me forever, "everybody deserves a second chance". James Kousourous definitely gave two boys ,who had put themselves into a very dangerous situation as a result of behaving irresponsibly, a second chance and both myself, my son and his brothers will be eternally grateful for everything that he has done. From arrest to the case finishing took exactly 4 weeks and although this period was the most stressful period in our lives we could not have got through it without the unbelievable efforts of James Kousouros and his exception legal team.
