Seth I. Perlman

Having spent more than twenty-five years working in the field ofphilanthropy and mission-driven business ventures, I continue to be fascinatedby the broad range of creative thinking that I come into contact with throughmy work. The range of philanthropic enterprises and their continually evolvingapproach to making the world a better place is a constant source of inspirationfor what I do.  

I spend part of my time consulting with the Boards of manynon-profits and foundations, attending more than fifty meetings eachyear.  Outside of my professional capacity, I also sit on many Boards as adirector, in the United States, Canada and Western Europe.  It keeps myperspective relevant and broadens my understanding of the issues charitableorganizations face.

Recently, I have spent more time researching and networking in thearea where the non-profit and for-profit worlds meet. A growing number of largecorporations are finding new ways to contribute their resources to sociallybeneficial enterprises, and non-profits in turn are exploring corporatealternatives that allow them to “do well, while doing good”.  It is an exciting time to be involved in thefield.
