I understand there are certain things that take a long time, however, my family and I have been in the moving process from selling our apartment to buying a house, and everything has been on pause. Everything has been in favor of the buyers party, which are all in kahoots with the buyer. At first we ...were informed that the closing date was in April of 2020. When asked for more time, due to the fact that the original house we were purchasing didn't work out due to seller on their end, we were denied that by Ed stating that we would have to pay almost $3000 for a 30 day extension. (This was in fact in the original contract. So we were entitled to doing so.) Nevertheless, we decided to run with it and probably stay with family. NOW it is May 5th, and we had the closing date due to buyer for May 9th, and were just informed the closing date will be the 14th and we had to take it or leave it. This is very unprofessional. These attorneys were hired to work for our services and make us happy, yet I feel much discrimination here and settling. Our hands are tied on our end, because we have already made agreements, moved all belongings to the new house, and EVERYONE has been waiting for a closing date. If I would have know this lawyer was so lazy, and terrible, I would have never agreed to any of this. But once again, he is the building attorney, so I guess we don't have a choice. Its clear it is all about who you know today and not what you know or how many years you have to back that up. Means nothing when you use demeaning terminology and get paid from all ends, yet to only help ONE party. I would love to take further action, but it'll probably be a waste of time too.

Mr Filemyr is an excellent lawyer. Easy to talk to and gives you excellent advise whether you like it or not. He won my case against a bullying board that wanted to remove me from my apt illegally. They lost. I have my shareholders lease and stock certificate now due to his work. The whole building b...enefitted.

Attorney Edward J. Filemyr, Esq. represented our Apartment Building and has done a terrible job. He is very good at putting in a lot of hours at a low price and not getting anything done. Eviction proceedings take 4 years or more. He is unfamiliar with our basic corporate documents and gives very ba...d advice. He can be charming and polite, but never actually gets anything done. He reviewed our contract with two management companies and left us with terrible problems. His advice on dealing with the union did not help us resolve our issues. We hired a different lawyer to refinance our mortgage and sign a new commercial lease.
