Jeb L. Singer

Jeb Singer is a well-regarded business attorney in Manhattan, specializing in bankruptcy law and Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) law. With almost two decades of experience, Jeb is committed to protecting the interests of small and medium-sized businesses in complex financial and operational matters, including representing the businesses and their owners in litigation and restructuring matters involving MCAs.

A cum laude graduate of Brooklyn Law School, Jeb served as Associate Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate Financial and Commercial Law. He received multiple awards for academic and professional excellence. He is also a graduate of the University of Michigan.

Jeb provides comprehensive legal counsel on various business issues, from entity formation and daily operations to business sales and mergers. In debt restructuring, he represents both corporate and individual debtors in Chapters 11, 7, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. In addition to his bankruptcy expertise, Jeb has developed an active MCA defense practice, skillfully navigating the unique challenges of MCA agreements to protect clients’ assets and negotiate favorable terms to preserve business stability.

Jeb began his legal career as a Federal Law Clerk for (then Chief) Judge Stuart Bernstein in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. He went on to work as a corporate restructuring attorney with one of the nation’s leading bankruptcy practice groups at an international firm before joining a boutique law firm and finally starting his own law practice. A published author, Jeb contributed a chapter to a book on examiners in corporate bankruptcy cases and has represented clients in commercial bankruptcy across diverse industries, including real estate, hospitality, technology, financial services, and more.

A lifelong competitive athlete, Jeb is a former wrestler, baseball, and rugby player. He has completed 16 marathons, including Boston, and over 20 triathlons. Jeb has young children with whom he shares his passions for sports, travel, and food. Jeb was the co-founder of FICS NYC, a former fitness recovery and wellness studio in the Chelsea section of Manhattan.
