William Frank Guilford

William F. Guilford, Jr. leads Guilford Law Group, PLLC as Owner and Founding Attorney, bringing nearly two decades of private-practice experience to complex civil, matrimonial, and family law disputes across New York City’s five boroughs and nearby counties. His litigation portfolio spans corporate representation—for internet and TV carriers, entertainment venues, sports centers, and insurance firms—and high-net-worth divorce cases involving multi-million-dollar estates, prenuptial/postnuptial negotiations, and post-divorce asset litigation. He also guides clients through custody, visitation, and protection-order matters at both domestic and international levels. A former law clerk to Judge Sidney H. Stein in the Southern District of New York, William maintains cutting-edge legal knowledge, mentors clients through every stage of their cases, and contributes to the profession as a member of a judicial screening committee. A Tuskegee University alumnus honored as “Mr. Tuskegee” and a New York University School of Law Dean’s Scholar, he volunteers with youth organizations in New Jersey, Alabama, and New York City. A Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, he has been named a New York Metro Super Lawyer (2022–2025) and one of the National Black Lawyers’ Top 100 in New York State (2020–2024).
