Hired with confidence

Mr. Galluzzo is honest, respectful, attentive, kind, caring and passionate about his clients and what he does. I was referred to him by another attorney he listened to my concerns and agreed to take my case. Before speaking with him I had little hope but after speaking with him and doing some researc...h on my own I am confident I have the right attorney to defend me in my case. criminal contempt case. Extremely happy and satisfied

Spoke to many lawyers before hiring Matt. Could not have made a better decision. He was extremely responsive all the time by phone and email and took the time to explain all possible options and outcomes. His knowledge in the field is absolutely amazing and would highly recommend him.

Excellent attorney - Fair, Honest, Competent. Highly Recommend!

I hired Mr. Galluzzo to represent me in a criminal case in Federal Court and he did a fantastic job from beginning to end! He assessed my case accurately, charged me a fair fee, always communicated with me promptly and worked very hard for me, until I was acquitted after a 4-day Jury trial. Origina...lly after being arrested I rushed and hired a different attorney who was not advancing my case properly and was making obvious mistakes, in my opinion. After I paid this other attorney in full I was forced to fire him anyway and he would not even give me back my file. I was so fortunate to find Mr. Galluzzo, a great attorney, who took over my case, was very patient and understanding, he retrieved the necessary documents from the court and worked out a great winning defense strategy for me. Mr. Galluzzo is not only a highly knowledgeable and skilled attorney, but he is also a very good and caring human being. I am very grateful to Mr. Galluzzo for all he has done for me! I highly recommend him!

Current client - successfully represented by Matt's firm, very satisified.

Matt Galluzzo and his firm represented me on two occasions. First I was arrested under the NYPD’s Domestic Violence “mandatory arrest” policy based on a false report made by a mentally ill in-law who was in fact institutionalized involuntarily right after making the complaint and at the time of my vo...luntary surrender. Matt represented me and diligently attempted to negotiate an alternate solution given that the complainant was under a mandatory extended psychiatric hold (wound up being nearly six months) for threatening suicide to police officers and other displayed psychotic behavior, with the promise of a lawsuit if they followed through with the arrest. The NYPD did arrest and Matt was there and did an excellent job in court in my behalf, getting me released on my own recognizance. Rather than admit fault, the DA chose the let the charge time out and lapse without a response, ending with the charges being fully dismissed based on my rights for a speedy trial. Matt and his partners subsequently represented me in suing the NYPD for violation of my constitutional rights for an unreasonable arrest and confinement. Police officers have “qualified immunity” which is a very significant barrier shielding them from a lawsuit, but Matt and his partners were still willing to represent me as we all mutually agreed the principal of the matter was that the NYPD acted with a myopic view of the circumstances, not exercising proper judgement, and abused their authority. The process was made easy with Matt’s expert legal counsel, and the city settled which to me represented that the NYPD was held accountable for arresting an innocent person without reasonable cause. Matt and his partners are highly competent, hardworking, personable, and to me were a bargain for the level of legal expertise and representation I received. I would highly recommend this firm and Matt to anyone requiring legal representation, you will be in very good hands.

Top-Class Criminal Defense Attorney

My spouse and I hired Matthew Galluzzo to handle the case of a family member who was arrested and charged with multiple felonies. Matthew immediately put us at ease with his confidence and intelligence, and we knew from the beginning that we and our loved one would be in good hands. While our famil...y member was facing up to 25 years in prison, Matthew was able to negotiate a plea deal that reduced the sentence to only one year (!). Our loved one is now out on parole leading a productive life, and thanks to Matthew this traumatic ordeal is now only a distant memory for him/her. We feel fortunate to have found Matthew Galluzzo and his firm in our time of need, and we would not hesitate to retain him again.
