l was facing a summons complaint through TLC court. TLC basically treat their licensees like criminals? TLC court is unlike DMV court where the respondent must show up in person to testify. Kate Mcgauley is very aggressive attorney, l was very impressed & amazed with the way she defended my case rig...orously, and she was able to dispose of my TLC case... Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a person. Hired this firm for a speeding ticket back in February..was very personal, asked a lot of questions about the night and the ticket and was very quick to charge my card $440 for their services. I was told that how it works is they sho...w up to a court date and if they officer shows up, then they schedule another hearing. They continue to do this for up to 2 years, which helps the odds of the officer not showing up and the ticket getting dismissed. Well don't believe that from this firm because that is not how they do things. Apparently Steven (the initial person I spoke to about this), was just painting a pretty picture to lure in customers. So months later, not hearing from them at all, we get a letter in the mail from their office that says "you were found guilty, sorry, we tried our best". A letter? So they didn't reschedule the hearing again, and then were incapable of even getting the ticket down. So I would have been better off taking a day off of work and doing it myself. I asked why we couldn't have received a phone call since they took our money and literally did nothing. I was told from Kate McGauley, "we have so many hearings, we don't have time to call for something like that"..... I don't know why I didn't see these awful reviews before, because it absolutely makes sense now.
