In the spring of 2018, we decided to put our condo in Windsor Terrace on the market because we wanted to move from an apartment to a house. After listing our unit with a good friend, we began looking at homes in Tarrytown. Realizing that we were not in the right market, we followed the advice of an...other friend and started looking in Maplewood, NJ where we found our dreamy craftsman on a block with congenial neighbors. The process of selling and buying can be quite an arduous one. It helps when the people helping to navigate you through it are knowledgeable, tenacious, and friendly. Joyce Goldstein was the perfect embodiment of all three of these things during the time she represented us as we sold our condo in Brooklyn and bought our house in Essex county. Ms. Goldstein patiently explained the differences between closing in New York versus New Jersey. She knew about the neighborhood and even the street we were moving to. Plus, when it came time to light a fire under our buyers, who were needlessly prolonging the closing, Joyce quickly addressed the situation so that we could move forward with our purchase. Now that we’re in our new home, we plan to retain her for our estate planning. She’s become someone who we respect and trust. She’s become our friend.

Goldstein is the worst & most unprofessional attorney I have ever had the misfortune to hire. In my opinion: inattentive, sloppy, non responsive, Never finished her task & seems to have cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars. This woman should not be practicing law. I could be wrong, but it’s hard ...to know if your attorney refuses to even talk to you. She was certainly happy to take that retainer, tho.

Joyce may not be the fastest or the most organized real estate attorney out there but she is by far the most hardworking, personable and trustworthy. During our hunt for a new home, she worked tirelessly (even when she was on vacation) and was always reachable. We knew she had our interests in mind f...rom day one to the day of the closing and she was very thorough with the details/numbers. I would recommend her for every buyer who needs help navigating the NY real estate scene with a peace of mind.

We had no idea what we were doing, but Joyce and her assistant were wonderful. They examined everything carefully and explained without being condescending. They bore with our loads of questions. They protected us from problems with the property. I do not hesitate to recommend Joyce. As several broke...rs in Brooklyn have told me, "Joyce is the best."

I can't recommend Joyce highly enough. She represented me in the purchase of a home and, when things got complicated, she was there every step of the way.
