Highly Competent and Empathetic

Deborah defended me in a securities fraud case back in 2010 and after interviewing several high profile attorneys, she was the one I chose hands down. Although her pedigree and vast experience is without exception top notch, the one trait that stands out about Deborah among all other attorneys is tha...t she cares a great deal about her clients and their families. This was a key factor in why it is that I hired her. Being threatened with 30 years in federal prison would make just about anyone go over the edge however through Deborah's guidance and emotional support I was able to get through it. That's not to say I didn't have my bad days but having her as my lawyer was a blessing in disguise during those trying times. In addition her knowledge of the law is extensive and she worked meticulously and diligently in order to save my proverbial butt. From a 30 year sentence she was able to reach a plea deal with the prosecutor of 36 months but even more impressive was that she convinced the judge to depart significantly from a sentence of 36 months to only 6 months in federal prison and 6 months home confinement. Without question, I would highly recommend her.

Oustanding attorney

My family hired Ms. Colson due to serious trouble I was in. She was recommended by a friend and from the very first moment I felt the support and guidance that I was looking for in a lawyer. I will always be extremely grateful for her services and for always believing in me. I know that hiring Ms. Co...lson was the best choice we could take.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
