Cody has been a longtime protector of the rights of the accused, beginning when he was in law school at Emory University and assisted with successfully reversing a client’s death sentence during an internship.
After graduating from law school, Cody was hired by the Legal Aid Society in New York City, one of the nation’s premier public defender offices. He worked in Legal Aid’s Manhattan office for almost a decade, where he collaborated with many skilled attorneys and represented thousands of clients who faced criminal charges.
