After paying $4,500 in May, Demet said multiple times that she was going to send me drafted letters, which never happened, then she disappeared: No response to calls or emails for five months. I don't understand how she could make the active choice to treat her clients this way. These are immigrants ...whose work authorization depends on the work she agreed to do IN A CONTRACT. There's no way to reach her- is this a scam?

Demet Gots disappeared completely after payment. Three months ago (July 31st 2023) I paid her U$3750 (when signing the contract) and since then she never answered any emails, phone calls or text messages despite several attempts. I paid for a service that does not exist! I don't even know if there ar...e employees in Gots Law Office since no one has ever answered the landline number they put in their website or returned my call when I left voice messages. I am shocked! I paid a lawyer for a non-existent service. I am a journalist. Demet was recommended by a friend who had a positive result by I understand by reading now some reviews that this is not the first time she acts like this way. I requested a refund. No answer

I needed assistance with my citizenship application and Demet was recommended to me through a friend of mine. My case was complicated, without getting into details - I have applied on my own before and was denied, after that I approached 3 different law firms regarding my case. Most of them quickly l...ooked through my application and made me feel in a way that I needed to do a lot of work in order to get my citizenship. Demet was the only one who took all of my documents, reviewed them carefully and explained everything in detail to me, what can and should be done, what the approach should be, but most importantly she made me feel confident and also she treated me so nicely like I was the focus for her not just another number to submit paperwork for. At the same time she never sugar coated anything for me, she advised me on pros and cons and what to be prepared for.Her advice was very helpful and she aided me in getting through my interview successfully. My documents were sorted out perfectly for a smooth find through the interview. I made sure I followed all of her recommendations and thus the process went smoothly and resulted in positive outcome.

After applying my case Demet never sent me the result of a case receipt and stopped replying to me. So, I had no opportunity to check my case status for a year. After many attempts, I finally reached Demet by phone (in a year) and she act as nothing happened. She said “Oh…our office was locked for ...COVID quarantine, so I missed all your e-mails somehow. Your case was declined half a year ago.” It’s nonsense because I know that she had been working with other clients during this time using the same e-mail. And she sent me the USCIS answer. It’s true that it’s declined. But I lost a year of time and a lot of nerves not knowing what’s going on at all and how to make further plans. Also, she promised me to reply on a specific date several times and never did it, making excuses that she is very busy with other cases. I find it all outrageous and dishonestly. I see that Gots Law firm doesn’t care about the result and about their reputation.
