I am an attorney licensed in New York and New Jersey. I am also licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
I am currently employed as an Associate at The Shapiro Law Firm, LLC. We are a small, family-oriented firm with only two attorneys. Primarily, we focus on immigration and criminal law. However, we also handle cases across the law spectrum, including: civil litigation, family, contracts, business organization, appeals, and wage and labor claims.
The Shapiro Law Firm, LLC, opened its doors in 2008 with only one attorney. I have worked as a law intern here since September 2011. I became a law clerk after taking the Bar in July of 2012. I subsequently became an Associate at The Shapiro Law Firm, LLC, upon admission to the New Jersey bar in November of 2012.
As a small family-based law firm, The Shapiro Law Firm, LLC, focuses on honesty and integrity. We care about our clients and always strive to do what is in their best interests. We have no support staff, and the Senior Associate work in a collaborative manner on every case that we have. Thus, our clients can be assured that they will always directly communicate with an attorney who is familiar with the facts and circumstances surrounding their legal issues.
Most of our clients come to us by referral. For example, we have helped successive generations of families obtain green cards and immigrate to the United States. We are now looking to grow our client base and expand our firm.

"I endorse this lawyer. Ms. Shaffer is my "go to" attorney when I have questions involving immigration concerns. She is highly knowledgeable and has an unmatched ability to navigate, with assurance, through the complexities of practicing in the field of immigration.
