Alina Kaganovsky

Alina Kaganovsky immigrated from the former Soviet Union to the United States when she was a child and grew up in New York City. She graduated New York University with a Bache-lor of Arts Degree in 2001. In 2007, she earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. Alina Kaganovsky is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. She is registered with the Executive Office of Immigration Review to represent clients in all U.S. Immigration Courts and with United States Customs and Immigration Services throughout the U.S.

As an attorney, Alina's legal experience began at Mobilization for Justice where she focused on kinship care and immigration. Motivated to stabilize families, she learned to provide the highest quality direct legal assistance while gaining insight into policy advocacy and impact litigation. Later, Alina worked as an Associate Attorney at Smotritsky Law Group where she represented over 90 clients in EOIR Immigration Courts and dozens more in applications before USCIS. In 2019, she opened Alina Kaganovsky Law, PLLC with a client-centered approach to focus on immigration and naturalization matters.

Alina keeps her finger on the pulse of the latest legal developments and adapts new technology to provide innovative legal immigration services better and faster. She's a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. Alina also committed to pro bono efforts and supports the Immigration Justice Campaign as a volunteer attorney.
