Peter Samberg

Peter Samberg, a highly regarded, extensively skilled and agile litigator with an enviable track record against the makers of cochlear implants, artificial hips and acne medications, is an associate attorney in our Drugs & Medical Devices Litigation group.

Mr. Samberg is known as one who thoroughly prepares for trial and as an effective interlocutor during both direct and cross examination. Awards obtained by him for his clients at trial and through settlement are typically substantial: for example, he recently won a $9-million verdict for a client harmed by the acne medication, Accutane.

In addition to helping those injured by flawed products marketed as safe, Mr. Samberg also has represented clients in scores of trials involving claims of medical malpractice, catastrophic injuries, and criminal conduct. Many of these trials occurred in the state of New York (where he has been admitted to practice law since 1979), California, New Jersey and Texas.

Born and raised in New York, Mr. Samberg attended St. John's University School of Law in Queens, N.Y., where he earned a juris doctor degree. A bachelor of arts degree was earlier conferred upon him by the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Today, Mr. Samberg teaches others — specifically, law students and practicing attorneys enrolled at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and at the Cardozo School of Law’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program who want to hone their trial and deposition skills.
