Peter E. Brill is a Criminal Defense Attorney for clients with serious, life-altering matters in Manhattan and on Long Island. We provide aggressive yet compassionate (and discreet) representation to our clients at perhaps the most difficult time in their lives at a level unparalleled in the field.
Peter has extensive criminal trial experience in state and federal court, arbitration and administrative proceedings. He has won cases for his clients in practically every county in the New York metropolitan area. A former Assistant District Attorney, he now focuses on criminal defense of both civilians and law enforcement, representing clients charged with a variety of misdemeanors and felonies. He graduated cum laude from Brown University and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. As of 2015, he is now one of only two attorneys in all of New York State--and the only attorney in the New York metropolitan area--to be certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Criminal Law.
He also routinely defends the professional licenses of health care professionals, government employees and law enforcement officers in union arbitrations and disciplinary proceedings before arbitrators, OPD, OPMC, OATH and the NYPD Trial Room, among other forums.
We engage in aggressive advocacy, negotiation, and mediation with outcomes favorable to our clients. We have tried over 100 cases to verdict with impressive results. Extensive and in-depth law enforcement and government contacts.
Among the many criminal charges for which we can provide smart, aggressive criminal defense include:
- DWI, DUI, and DWAI
- Domestic and family violence
