From an early age I knew that I wanted to represent the criminally accused. The interaction between people, the police, and the courts always fascinated me. There are no higher stakes than fighting to save a person's freedom and in some instances their life.
I think that the American Prison System has failed. Far too many people are incarcerated for non-violent offenses and drug crimes. More resources need to be spent on education and rehabilitation and less money on incarceration.
I recognize that people make mistakes and they deserve second chances. All too often the police, prosecutors and judges, just want to rush through a case and go directly to punishment. As an advocate for the criminally accused, it's my honor to tell the story of my client. Often defendants are over-charged and there is usually an explanation for what they did. It's my job to slow the process down, to investigate the case, to talk to my clients, and to get the judge or the jury to listen.

A Welcome Settlement
I had an interesting DUI case due to the fact that I was not in an accident and was not pulled over. An incident had happened around me, and the officer that arrived on scene detected alcohol on my breath. I was hopeful to have the case thrown out, but Michael explained to me how difficult that is. Thank you for the positive review. It is very difficult to turn DWI into something else. Fortunately, in this instance the facts and the law worked in your favor.

Highly Recommend Obtaining Micheal Roberts as Counsel
I had a great experience retaining Mike as counsel for a couple different cases over the years. "Mike is an outstanding criminal defense attorney who works hard to obtain the best results for his clients."
"You will never find an attorney as dedicated to his clients as Mike Roberts is. I've worked with Mike for 3 years so far and every day he goes above and beyond what most attorneys do for their clients. He is knowledgable, smart, and works extremely hard to get the results he does. I would highly recommend him in any criminal or municipal matter. I'm proud to know him and work with him. When he won the 2015 Middlesex County Young Lawyer of the Year, it was well deserved."
"Mike is a smart and hardworking attorney. He has a strong grasp of the law, as well as courtroom procedure and the rules of evidence. This is the type of knowledge that lawyers need to provide strong representation to clients. You will be well-served with Mike as your attorney."
"I have referred cases to Michael without hesitation. He has handled the matters with professionalism and great results. I would hands down recommend him and his firm."
