Colton Tyler Karpus

Colton Karpus focuses his practice on criminal defense and commercial litigation. 

Mr. Karpus believes that all criminal defendants deserve zealous and compassionate legal representation. His strategy involves a presenting a rigorous defense predicated on mitigating unfavorable evidence and crafting a compelling narrative to achieve a favorable resolution. However, He does not shy away from motion practice or trial. He understands that all matters are unique and will work tirelessly to aid his clients during trying times.

On the business side, Colton Karpus and the team at Karpus Law provide quality legal representation to family-owned, and small and medium sized businesses. Mr. Karpus leverages his years of substantive business experience to help clients navigate difficult business situations from Start-Up/ Formation through Succession Planning and Business Dissolution. Mr. Karpus' process involves examining every situation through both a business and legal lens to formulate and implement the most advantegeous strategy for his clients.

Prior to beginning Karpus Law, Mr. Karpus was a litigator at a large regional firm. Following law school, Mr. Karpus was the Law Clerk to the Honorable Stephen J. Taylor, P.J.C.R. in Morris County.  

Mr. Karpus holds a JD/MBA from the Villanova University School of Law and Villanova University Business School. He completed his undergraduate studies at New York University.
