Mark Silber has decades of experience investigating and trying consumer disputes, including warranty and lemon law matters, home imrpovement and construction cases. More recently he's turned his attention to bankruptcy, representing both debtors and creditors providing debt relief. He's a former member of the Board of Directors of Consumers' Union, publisher of Consumer Reports Magazine. Earlier, he wrote a monthly column called "The Legal Corner" for its predecessor, Consumer Research Magazine.
Mr. Silber is recognized as a consumer law pioneer. Lawyers from all over the state will refer consumer law cases to him. With his knowledge and experience, he's now getting referrals to represent small and mid-size contractors who get themselves into trouble for failure to follow home improvement regulations. Even a couple car dealers are seeking Mr. Silber's representation, finding it's better to be represented by Mark Silber than to be sued by him.
Few things infuse a legal career as much as experience: experience interviewing people; experience uncovering the facts; experience following the money; experience before juries; experience arguing and reasoning with judges; experience dealing with your adversaries; and most significant, experience negotiating with someone who is adverse to parting with money. Reading the other side saves cients thousands of dollars in legal fees. An experienced attorney is able to read the people, read the case, and often predict the outcome to enable his clients to know what to expect and when to expect it, often saving legal fees and wasted days in a court or hearing room.
Mr. Silber believes he may have the only "On-Hold" message playing on his telephone which motivates people to ask to be placed on hold. While a tad out-dated at the present, the message loop is full of helpful legal business and consumer tips. His slowly developing website also carries useful tips to help keep the American family out of trouble. If you take the time to read the reviews, one or two may bring tears to your eyes. And, for those of you old enough to remember the good old days, when you call the office of Mark R. Silber, you almost always get a real live person taking your call. Try it!
