Biography
Ms. Thayer’s professional affiliations include membership in the New Jersey State Bar Association (Animal Law Committee; Small Business and Solo Practice Section; Real Estate & Trusts Section), the Federal Bar Association, and the American Bar Association (Solo Practice Section). She is a member in good standing of the New Jersey State Bar, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, and the US Federal District Court of New Jersey, and the Bar of the Supreme Court of the US.
Ms. Thayer graduated with high honors from the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in women’s studies and was admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, Phi Gamma Mu, Alpha Kappa Delta, as well as receiving the Chi Omega Prize for top student in her graduating class. Ms. Thayer achieved her Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH.
During her years in law school Ms Thayer worked with New Hampshire Senator Wheeler in developing recommendations and drafting components of legislation that created transitional housing for women and children in situations where alcohol and family violence was prevalent. She researched existing laws and medical opinions pertaining to fetal alcohol syndrome, domestic violence, and the political environment surrounding these important issues for potential legislative action.
