Kelly M. Newman, Esq. is the founder of the Law Office of Kelly Newman, LLC. Ms. Newman's practice is exclusively focused on matrimonial and family law, including divorce, custody and parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, prenuptial agreements, adoption, agreements related to alternative reproductive technology, and all other related family matters. Ms. Newman also has significant interest in assisting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender clients to exercise their family law rights.
What Ms. Newman finds most compelling about practicing family law is that each case is a unique opportunity to help her clients make lasting, impactful changes in their lives that will safeguard their futures and bring them peace of mind for years to come. In guiding her clients through their legal matters, Ms. Newman is steadfastly dedicated to being their source of compassion, knowledge and unwavering strength. She takes pride in utilizing her well-honed advocacy skills and extensive litigation experience to achieve the best outcomes possible for her clients and their children.
Upon receiving her Juris Doctorate from the City University of New York School of Law, whose motto is “law in service of human need,” Ms. Newman began her legal career as a Staff Attorney at South Jersey Legal Services. This position afforded her the opportunity to serve clients and sharpen her advocacy skills in a broad range of legal practice areas, and ultimately led her to discovering her passion for the practice of family law.
Ms. Newman is admitted to the New Jersey Bar, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Gloucester County Bar Association and the Camden County Bar Association. She also engages in significant volunteer service as a Panel Chair of the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics Fee Arbitration Committee and a Pro Bono Attorney for South Jersey Legal Services’ Private Attorney Involvement program.
Ms. Newman is bilingual in English and Spanish. She loves living in South Jersey and being an active participant in her community. She especially enjoys being the mother of seven children, including two sets of twins, and a Girl Scout Troop Leader.
