Validation, Responsiveness and Trust

I worked with Tom for custody issues regarding my son. Tom is someone who goes above and beyond to help get to the resolution you desire. I trusted him to provide realistic goals to obtain and help navigate some key issues that my ex-husband and I didn't originally take into consideration during the ...divorce. I originally was with a different lawyer at a previous law firm Tom worked at. He had to help with the botched job that attorney did and did so with grace and understanding. Tom was responsive to my requests and even reached out the after the final court order to see how everything was going. He is reasonable, kind and had a great sense of humor. No one wants to go through family issues. And yet, Tom was capable of bringing levity and continued to maintain his laser focus on what I needed to make the situation work out for what was best for my son. I'm thankful that I found his review on another site. I hope this review helps you to select Tom as well. Tom Roberto is brilliant and truly works for your best interest. He gets it.

A true professional!!

I approached Tom Roberto and his partner, Bob Adinolfi, out of desperation. I had just come off of a horribly failed financial mediation with my ex-wife and her attorney and needed an attorney(s) who understood both the dynamics of a family business and the impact of medical issues on compensation an...d employment. Two law firms had failed me in the 8 months since I filed, and my trial was in 2 weeks. Tom and Bob immediately understood my case and took me on with no hesitation. To that point, I was losing, but not for a lack of preparation; I simply needed the right guidance and strategy. They assured me that my case was solid. They quickly canceled my court date and ceased all prior negotiations with my ex-wife's attorney. They set a new course for me - based on the tremendous amount of evidence I presented them - that involved gathering detailed medical records and hiring both a forensic accounting expert and a vocational expert. They completely changed the trajectory of my divorce from losing to winning. In retrospect, I like to think my case was won the second I hired them (even though there would be many more months of negotiating ahead). Tom was my main day-to-day contact. It's easy to heap praise on the attorney who wins the case for you, but I really, truly enjoyed working with Tom. He has a calmness to him that was the perfect counter to my divorce-induced bipolarism. He quickly became my "Zen Master", a nickname he carried with pride! He was available 24/7, in sickness and in health, till divorced I became! And he handled my emotional outbursts with the poise of a... well, of an expert divorce attorney! Just as important to me as the harmoniousness of our interactions was his uber-detail-oriented approach. I am a highly detailed person myself, and Tom put me to shame! I quickly came to understand that every deadline would be met (with reminders as well), every document would be thoroughly checked, and every email I sent him would be considered and assimilated at the right time. When he had less than 2 days to file a counter-motion to a 70 page motion from the other side, Tom worked non-stop to get it done with pure excellence. While I understood throughout my time with him that he was working on many other cases at the same time, I never felt as though I wasn't a high priority. Tom is young and hungry, yet highly knowledgable, extremely intelligent and incredibly professional - well beyond his years. A mark of his maturity is his ability to yield to others within his firm who may have more experience in certain matters. Tom is not afraid to admit what he doesn't know and will find the answers one way or another. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom and his partners to anyone who needs help with their divorce. You can expect an unmatched level of professionalism, expertise and excellence in all they do, well-honed strategic skills developed over decades, and the kind of toughness you'd want in an area of the law as emotionally charged as divorce.

Family cases can be trying and emotional. I wanted to hire someone who would advocate on the same level as if this was their child. It mattered that to me that my lawyer be realistic about my odds and still shoot for the best case scenario in the court room. Mr. Roberto is so thorough he knew my stor...y and ALL the details. He fought for my son just like I would honestly, well researched, and reliable. Tom Roberto is (in my opinion) the best you can get, if you’re as lucky as I was to have him represent you. I wish I had the writing skills necessary to capture the kind of lawyer Tom is, without sounding like an ad or verbose. I will just say this, and hope you the person whose shoes I was once in, understands…of all the things that will occur during your case, retaining Tom will be a consistent choice you will be happy you’ve made.

Unsurpassable

Thomas was a great attorney. He listened to what I wanted and needed. He explained every part of the process and all possible scenarios. He explained what he felt was good for me but it was always my decision. He took all my suggestions seriously and always directed me in the correct procedure for... me to get the most acceptable outcome. I would use Thomas again without a second thought. Excellent in everything he accomplished for me.

Blessing from above!

I found Tom through Avvo. From there i scheduled a consultation. I am a father with a very complex case. We worked together for several months before i even retained him. Tom has a very strategic approach and looks at cases for the long haul. There were times where i wanted to give Tom the retainer a...nd be aggressive. Tom actually told me to consider the options and calmed me down. Tom and i communicated so much i feel like we're friends. I cannot praise this man enough. I hired him as my attorney but feel like he was my therapist as well. Lol. My case was temporarily resolved with a consent order, which honestly is probably the best outcome for my daughter at this point is time. Put it this way, even if i lost everything, i would know i lost because it was impossible to win. I would have known i still had the best representation possible. I would never regret hiring Tom. If you are looking for someone who will treat you as a human being and not a number Tom is the way to go. If you are looking for someone to go the extra thousand miles for you, Tom is the way to go. If you just want someone to care, Tom is your guy. A once in a lifetime attorney. I am so grateful for everything Tom has done for me. I was almost upset when it was over because i was going to miss talking to him. To sum it all up, Tom was an amazing blessing to mine and my daughters life. He'll be my attorney for life.
