He Has Game

I hired Scott for my Gray divorce 2019. He is honest- yes, affable and very easy to work with. I say quite confidently that Scott Levine's integrity is beyond reproach. He sympathized with my feelings and situational difficulties and offered friendly personal advice as well. He always listened to my... thoughts on direction and offered me a more appropriate strategy when necessary. We worked very closely for 6- yes, 6 yrs to finalize my complicated divorce issues. We even had many laughs along the way. Furthermore, this was in the middle of covid too! Scott worked tirelessly with and for me. Considering how convoluted my x-spouse is and her well connected, venal country attorney, it's surprising he kept me as a client. But Scott has game and proved it. A good, friendly relationship with your attorney is a must to achieve good results. As a client do not blow this part. Divorce is an expensive proposition, emotionally and financially. You get a tremendous value hiring Scott in both aspects when hiring him. As a client you have to do your work as well. Your paperwork must be organized, keep a level head, listen and learn, and explain clearly what your situation is. Moreover, frequently remind yourself that you are the one who hired a professional. So stand down and let him do the job you hired him for when the time comes. Which can be difficult at times. A divorce is a professional, business transaction best handled by professionals with your help. Hate and revenge is for your emotions afterwards. You will not get everything you want or feel you should. This is a cold hard fact. There is a process to all of this. Scott Levine knows the process and is experienced in it. Clients generally do not. This is why you hire Scott Levine.

Us vs. State

I hired Steve reluctantly nothing personal I just don't care for lawyers, I worked for many over the year, I've befriended a few, I was dealing with DCS it was all about a evaluation that they said I never received, witch I did, and apparently they dropped the ball. Now they want a new done and ...gave me a list of places to go, well this was told to me during my first court date prior to retaining Steve, and when the judge explained I would need this done and a few other hoops to jump through and me being calm.... not lost my mind and began yelling, dealing with your kids is very emotional in it all built-up till that point, I was then told by friends and family to get a lawyer mainly they were making me do something that had already taken place, and now they want me to pay for it all, that when I knew I made the right choice because the first thing Steven did was get them to pay for it, but I would need to go to who they use and who gets paid by the stare, so I went to see this doctor and told her everything star to finish, she was actually a pleasant person to talk to we it took a few months for her to finish her report so it seemed actually Steven had her expedite it so we could get back to court and get it over with, we'll DCS made a motion to suppress there own Doctors report, be cause it was as good as it gets , like it had in the past, Steven not only got it to remain but she was the best witness . All this was over 8 or so months and in the end Steven wrapped everything up in a closing argument and blew it away, not to many people can say they came out on top when going against DCS, and the state of New Jersey, but he one my case and are family was not bothered with again, he did yell at me and made me leave the room a few times be cause because it was hard for me to keep my emotions at bay, it wS a horrible situation and he made it go away for me. I highly recommend Steven J Levine.

Outstanding Counselor

Did not retain counsel and contest my Divorce Property Settlement Agreement, in April 2005. In January 2023, retained the counsel of Scott J. Levine. Scott is punctual, professional, and proficient, at his craft, of representing his clients. Scott negotiated and out of Family Court Final Settlemen...t, which saved me over half of the approximately $50,000.00, my ex-wife was seeking. Scott is an outstanding Counselor.

My experience

He Offered a free hour consultation. We decided to start a document/agreement late in the afternoon. Said it would take 8-10days to complete and i would hear back when it was done. I asked him the following morning at 8a to halt work until i advised him to continue. Got a bill that month for 3.2 hour...s of work when his office wasnt even open that late to have been working on it. And i still have nothing to show for it. He wont return my phone calls nor will he show me what he put together.

WARNING: DON'T HIRE THIS MAN!!

I hired Scott J. Levine to represent me in a divorce/custody case. Upon consulting with him and giving him the facts of the case he assured me that it would be an easy win with my soon-to-be ex living in an overcrowded house, had refused to allow the children to attend school and generally providing ...a poor environment. I expressed that I would like to compromise as much as practical to come to a peaceful settlement with my former spouse to which Mr. Levine was adamantly against. Throughout the case he continued to add unnecessary fuel to the fire making any reasonable negotiations impossible (which of course prolonged the case and made him more money). At one point he had me disobey the judge’s order (which I did foolishly trusting his legal counsel) and it cost me 10,000 dollars I had to pay to her lawyer as a penalty. He asked how much I had left in my account, I told him 8,000. That very night he called me to talk about the case and happened to mention a bill due to him for 7,500 not odd at all right? Eventually I found that he had overcharged 2,000 (and that was just because it was very obvious). He had to have his paralegal in court at all my legal functions to hold his hand which I have never seen in my now thorough experience with lawyers/court; and in the courtroom he was too weak-willed to effectively stand up to the opposition’s bullying techniques. I spent 2 years in family court, and lost the majority of my financial assets, going into debt because of the mess this lawyer made, ultimately losing my case for custody. It is my belief this was a direct result of his representation. Unless you want to lose your case and your life savings along with it DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. It’s my belief that he is incompetent at best and unethical at worst. You have been warned.
