Esther Eva Berezofsky

Esther Berezofsky is nationally recognized and respected for representing plaintiffs in complex litigation involving mass torts, pharmaceutical drugs and medical device products liability, consumer fraud class actions, environmental litigation and chemical exposure cases.  As one of the foremost environmental attorneys in the country, she has litigated high-profile cases including– notably as lead counsel the Toms River case–which has been profiled in books, television news programs and other media.

Toms River involved a community in which contaminated drinking water caused children to develop cancer at alarming rates thus its designation as a cancer cluster. Williams Cuker Berezofsky, through its investigation and work with scientific experts, was able to bring resolution to the affected families.

Ms. Berezofsky is regarded as one of the leading mass tort pharmaceutical and medical device attorneys in the country. Recent matters include representing those injured by defective devices manufactured by DePuy and Stryker, and insulin pumps and pain pumps manufactured by Medtronic. She is currently representing plaintiffs in pharmaceutical product liability matters including the drugs Benicar, Rezulin, and Paxil among others.

Ms. Berezofsky is also a lead negotiator in many of the firm’s complex cases; she has been appointed Lead and Liaison Counsel in various state court litigations.
