I entered with a tourist visa years ago and did not leave. Years later I met my husband who is a citizen. He petitioned me and I did my I-485 at the same time.. Unfortunately I had gotten in trouble with the police for a stupid mistake and I was still on probation when I tried to adjust status. Immig...ration denied my case because of a old case from the 1960s. I was very depressed and did not understand how that could happen to me. I was going to all my probation meetings and was doing well. Immigration did not care and wanted to deport me. Well, Ms. Oviedo was a miracle worker. She was always honest with me but very compassionate at the same time. She fought my case very hard. Got letters from a lot of people, even talked many times to my probation officer. She appealed my case and won the appeal. Then when it was time to go to my interview again she fought my case because the officer wanted to deny it once more, but Ms. Oviedo prepared a big packet of proof and argued my case. I am now a resident thanks to her. I could not be more thankful to Attorney Oviedo. She is a wonderful attorney and person. I recommend her to anyone. She is the best.
